The Met Line Journal

The life and times of a small man called Min, his daily journey's from Rayners Lane to Farringdon.

This blog is an insight into the wonderful world of the Met Line, packed into chunky bites of random thoughts, the weird and the wonderful sites I see on my journey to and from work, and the odd comedy gag...

Read it and weep (with laughter)...

Got anything new to report? - Min's MinIT Update. Friday 10th April 2015

Well hello hello! How are we all on this bright summer's evening! How big are those smiles now we have a temperature of 19.78c!

Just got on the semi fast Met line to Watford and there are loads of seats to pick from. Looks like my fellow commuters used their weather apps to see it was going to be 19.78c and decided to 'work' from home today! There are lots of smiles and high fives on the tube so that's nice...

The man opposite me is reading a most exciting book about "basic problem solving strategies' He looks quite techie so might strike up a conversation and see if he wants to come our next geek night event...

Advert of the week: "Toothache? Book a same day dentist appointment online in less than 60 seconds.  Nice, I thought it was an advert for lemons initially as the website is zesty.uk.  Interesting that they don't have .co.uk. maybe the dentist pulled that bit out by mistake...

App of the week: Periscope. You may have heard that Twitter recently launched a new app which allows you to broadcast live to the nation with a video cast, and folks can chime in with their questions or general abuse whilst you decide to show the world how exciting a life you lead. It's rather fun and this week I've been getting notifications everytime the guardian has been showing off some gadget or other. This week they included a fancy coffee machine and the new Moto360 smartwatch. It's a great way of interacting, so much so, might give it a go now...

Right, that was rather successful, got 0 views. People must still be working at home... Have a look for my video on there. It's rather exciting.
Min marks out of 10. 8.654.  It's quite random but breaks up the day, or something to do when your doing a no. 2, though best not to broadcast while you are (or at least turn your microphone off)...

Joke of the day: That bloke who invented those blocks that go into urinals has died. May he rest in peace...

Right that's your lot as I'm going to chat to the complex problems book man now.

Have a lovely weekend and a great sleep!

A small man called Min.
